Description
Purify yourself in the waters of Lake Minnetonka! Just 15 miles west of Downtown, Minneapolis, beyond the first ring of suburbs, lies a lake that was famously featured in the movie Purple Rain, a film by the late, great, music legend, Prince. While Prince put Lake Minnetonka on the big screen, the majority of Minnesota natives can recall fond memories spent on Lake Minnetonka, which is often times referred to simply as, "The Lake". Millions of Native Minnesotans have fond memories at the lake, whether they be waterskiing and drinking beers with your buddies, or pulling the pontoon up to one of the lake-front restaurants to enjoy dinner while watching the sunset over the horizon.

Factoid, because I have a fun one. Prince was a Jehovas Witness, and like other Jehovas Witnesses, would go knocking door-to-door to share there message. While 99% of the time people avoid these knocks on the door, you better believe people were surprised when they saw Prince standing on their doorstep, and were happy to listen to whatever it was he had to say.

The various bays throughout Lake Minnetonka, create for a very interesting map shape, as far as city building is concerned, however the land-areas are almost 100% flat.

Even if you hate my map, I promise you, everybody loves Lake Minnetonka!
