Every game has its own restrictions. I see you actually have some modding experience, so by all means, try editing this so that it works for you, I encourage it :)

In the case of L4D2, there isn't a "head" to attach to. To show up in first person, it needs to be called by a view model, and the only view models are hands, and weapons. Since I wanted this on all the time, and to not conflict with custom weapons, it had to be the hands.

you could also just like attach it to their head idk there's like endless amounts of solutions to this but you're too dense to realize.
