Upgraded Uranium Mines

Description
Compatible with version 1.4

This mod activates Advanced Uranium Mine and Superior Uranium Mine upgrades as well as tier 2 and 3 uranium resource veins which all exists in the game files but are never used.

The Uranium Mines are unlocked trough the Carbonate Nuclear Extraction and Nitrate Nuclear Extraction techs respectively. While there was no technology assigned to these mines I assume they were meant for these techs. If this mod is activated in a save file where these techs have already been researched you won't be able to get the buildings without cheating. The tier 2 and 3 resource veins will appear on the map as its first generated.

To get the upgraded Uranium mines in save files where the relevant technologies have already been researched one can use the following commands.
UnlockBuilding building_uranium_mine_2
UnlockBuilding building_uranium_mine_3

Tier 2 will mine uranium once every 67 days and Tier 3 will mine once every 50 days.

Both of the buildings and the resource veins have their own unique icons and unique models as seen by the screenshot.

I will be updating the mod to be compatible with new versions when they come out but if it has been more than a week leave a comment to remind me to make the update.

It's out of date. Can you update it please?

okay, a little more basic research tells me that the t1 uranium mine has an aquatic variant

all we need now is the devs to make the t2 and t3 uranium assets an active part of the game

so, brief research tells me that the mod that allows you to ignore irregular terrain does not work for placing buildings on water, meaning any building that you want to have in the ocean either needs to have a Blue Mars dlc variant (even if unused) or that building needs to come from a different mod (which the irregular terrain ignorance mod does not support)

the mod still works, tho it'd be nice to have the uranium mines also have the ability to be constructed as mining platforms like the rest of the non-ice miners.. hopefully those models are also unused somewhere in the game's files. If not, then I'll see about using the build restriction mod

Does this still work with the new update? just about to start a new playthrough and want to still use this.

Alright, fair enough! Still, thanks again.

@Travisplo I left the mines and the veins themselves as untouched as I could and this meant only fixing things that could cause bugs. The description not being unique wasn't something that really mattered. Although, I'm pretty sure all upgraded mines have same descriptions as their tier 1 mine anyway but I'm not going to check it.

Cool to hear, that'll be a nice addition I think- the T2 and T3 mines do have the same descriptions as the T1 still, just in case that was an oversight, or just something that you didn't really think mattered.

@Travisplo Thanks, a great suggestion and after looking trough the files I found a way to spawn tier 2 and 3 Uranium veins and have updated the mod to do this.

Thank you for adding these in- they're referenced in the game dialogue boxes, but like you said, never activated. Do you know if Deep and Ultradeep Uranium Nodes are activated? If not, can this mod also activate their generation?
