Vampy's Care Bear Cousin Mod

Garden Paws always seemed like the perfect place for the Care Bears and Cousins to exist in. With the devs releasing tools to make it easier than ever to mod, I figured it was time to make that a reality.

This mod features 11 heart-nosed faces and 12 classic Care Bear Cousins including Brave Heart Lion, Bright Heart Raccoon, Noble Heart Horse, and more!


~How to Install and Use~

1. Click "Subscribe" to download the mod.
2. Launch Garden Paws. On the main screen, click the Steam Workshop button in the upper right corner.
3. A menu displays of all the mods you've downloaded from Steam. Click "Install" on the Care Bear Cousin Mod.
4. Quit and relaunch Garden Paws. Login into your preferred character and world, or start a new character/world.
5. You can access the skins and faces by pressing "Esc" and then "Customize Character." From there brows the skins and faces to begin using. Icons should show each character's "Belly Badge."


~Please Note Regarding Some Characters~

In the case of Gentle Heart Lamb, Lotsa Heart Elephant, Playful Heart Monkey, and Treat Heart Pig I picked what I felt was the closest representation to these characters on a visual aesthetic.

I have 0 experience in 3D model making or editing models, so I knew altering the GP models to make a lamb, elephant, monkey, or pig wasn't going to happen.

I recognize that some players may not like the species I've chosen to represent these 4 characters, so I have added Bear versions of them as an alternative. They use the same faces as listed in the preview screenshots.

As an additional note, I also knew it wouldn't be possible to make Brave Heart Lion's mane. Please feel free to experiment with Garden Paws' new hairstyles to mimic that feel, both for Brave Heart's Mane and the fluffy head of Gentle Heart Lamb.
