Pejitei Gunship

The Pejitei Gunship was a small aircraft seen in Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind and was used by the city-nation of Pejitei. It was excavated from the ruins of an ancient city dating back several hundred years. Compared to other aircraft used, this small craft has a very different appearance. It is likely that this aircraft comes from before the Seven Days of Fire, in which almost all technological advancements were lost. In the film and manga, the aircraft is flown by Asbel, where it intercepts a convoy of Tolmekian aircraft. It is ultimately shot down in the fight.
