Runaway Mine Train was the first mine train roller coaster in the world. It opened in 1966 at Six Flags Over Texas. It was designed by Ron Toomer and Arrow Dynamics. In 2006, it was awarded the Roller Coaster Landmark award by the American Coaster Enthusiasts (ACE).

In Parkitect, some liberties were taken and details left off due to it being a monthly competition entry that restricts space, money, themes, and mod-use. Track layout is reminiscent , but not 100% accurate.
