EFE AEZ [Update Pending]

Notice, March 2024: An update for this mod is planned, and will bring it up to current standards. Please note that an estimated date cannot be given, since I can only work on mods in my free time. Thank you for your understanding.

AEZ, Automotor Eléctrico Salón, built by Kawasaki and Hitachi for EFE in 1973. 6 4-car units where built in total (AEZ 41-46). They were used in medium and long distance services between Valparaiso and Concepcion. From 1994 to 2007, they were mainly used in overnight services from Santiago to Talcahuano, adding a daytime trip in 2005. After the service was suspended, they were left as reserve trains until 2010, when they were stored, never to be used in commercial service again. 1 unit (AEZ-44) has been displayed a few times in Santiago's Alameda station during Cultural Heritage Day (last sunday of may).

Did you know? These trains were exported by trading company Nissho Iwai, which is commonly mistaken as the manufacturer. This also applies to the AEL model.

*existing ''All Economy'' compositions made before update 1.1.0 have flipped textures on the front car (somewhat noticeable on liveries 2, 3, 5 and very noticeable on livery 6), this is due to how I made the compositions originally. This is fixed by purchasing the affected trains again. If flipped textures on 1 car don't bother you, you can safely ignore it, since the stats are the same.

*Track gauge does not affect anything in-game.
