Welcome to Calico Springs Colony

Description:
Calico Springs Colony was formed in 4047 and the system that it resides in is Piro HS-224 and was first discovered in 2087, on the most advanced space telescope that humanity could muster up at the time. And the reason it was not discovered earlier was do to the distance of the star and it being a similar star sol and as such not being bright enough to see without much more advanced infrared tech. and it was first explored and had it planets mapped but not its a lot of its moons wasn't until 3943 and because of many refusals from many different organizations to commit to a full exploration of the system a lot of moons and other objects were left undiscovered up until the full colonization of Palamar142c



Important:
- vehicle and some buildings use scripts (ie Refinery use them) so it is recommended that you use experimental mode - all buildings in the colony are made by Smokki (go check him out Here) and some are from his "Port Argos R&D Site" and as such are partly work in progress as he stated in the Description


Things To Do:
Explore The Site: The site contains multiple facilities with interesting, lovingly created interiors to explore. Including three different types of living modules, Biodome Complex, Security Center, Logistics Center, and five small Refinerys, a small factory, large landing facility with retractable landing pads and the Vehicle R&D facility. Play Forklift Simulator: The site contains large logistics center with countless cargo modules that can be moved around & stacked using fully working and easy to use forklifts. There's also numerous trucks that can be used to move around those cargo modules. I dare to say that this is the best forklift simulator you can find in SE. go out to the stars: there is a gas giant that has plenty of moons for you to explore, but be warned if you are going to do this you might want to add a jump drive upgrade mod. My favorite one is the improved mod by Darelius and Copy! and i know it doesn't just upgrade the jump drive it adds a LOT of other tiered blocks! and i have added a lot of GPS markers but they are hidden because clutter so if you want you can jump to all of those different moons! Go and see the Comm satellites: there are a total of Six comm satellites on this map and are all linked together with laser antennas and which are all made by Alpha-5 Destroy Gas Silos: Be aware that the gas silos will explode if their armor is breached. It would be a shame if something would happen to them.

the only thing is it doesn't keep the elevation differences so that and it would be imposible to fit that anywhere ;)

yeah thanks :) also the when you connect a tether it makes acts as though you attached it with a rotor so i could in theory blueprint the HOLE Colony!

Looking good :) Can't wait to check it out properly. Really good choice as a planet to base this on, was looking the exact same planet a while ago myself. And those power tethers add a lot to the small colony feel.
