This world contains several planets which I have modified to suit this world. All the links to the original mods can be found here:

About
My goal in ceating this was to discourage staying in one place too much and to encourage the exploration of different planets in this system, as well as to make the survival experience more challenging. I did this mainly by dispersing the different ores across the planets and only generating basic resources on asteroids (details below).

Survival is also made harder with some mods like Survival Less Likely by Splitsie, Aww Scrap by nukeguard and Thraxus, Daily Needs Survival Kit by spiritplumber, Stollie and Skallabjorn and numerous mods using the Modular Encounters Spawner by Meridius_IX.

The planets
  • Satreus (reccommended start): A desert planet with ice-capped poles.
  • Mora: Moon of Satreus, features deep canyons and a cobalt core.
  • Vihar: A misty, purpleish planert with spiders.
  • Felho: Moon of Vilhar.
  • Luma: A large, green gas giant with a subtle ring.
  • Qun: A rocky moon of Luma with a large crater.
  • Kimi: A large asteroid orbiting Luma.
  • Tohil: Icy moon of Luma.
  • Octave: An strange alien moon of Luma featuring spiders and strange flora.

Resources
The resources in ths system are dispersed across all the planets and moons. Starting on Satreus you will only find iron nickel, silicon and ice underground which means you will need to find the cobalt necessary to leave the planet in ore rocks. These can be found on most planets.
Asteroids also only contain iron, nickel and silicon, forcing you to visit other planets to get different ores.

Ores are also generally deeper than usual.

The planets each have the following ores:
  • Satreus: ice (at poles and under red flats), iron, nickel, silicon, ore rocks
  • Mora: mostly cobalt (core), ore rocks (less of: iron, nickel, silicon)
  • Vihar: iron, nickel, silicon, magnesium
  • Felho: iron, nickel, silicon, ice (less of cobalt)
  • Luma: none
  • Kun: gold, silver (less of: iron, nickel, silicon, ice)
  • Kimi: iron, platinum
  • Tohil: ice, ore rocks
  • Octave: uranium, ore rocks

Man, i was so stoked to finally find a mod that encouraged travel for progression, but then my lander landed next to 3 uranium rocks and a silver Rock. Back to searching :(

Looking forward to trying this later tonight when fleeting freedom comes xD. Curious if your statement of "ores generally deeper than usual" is you reccomending a modded ore detector?

@MatrixVirus If you go into one of the mod's "Data" folder you will find at least one .sbc file. One of these defines the properies of the planet, including the ores that will spawn on it under "<OreMappings>"
MatrixVirus 4 Sep, 2021 @ 7:03pm
How did you change what ores the planets have?
LunaFromSpaaace  [author] 4 Sep, 2021 @ 10:56am
@MatrixVirus The distances between the planets Satreus, Vihar and Luma range from 4000km to 8000km. The moons of Satreus and Vihar are at about 250km and the moons of Luma are between 1500km and 2000km away from it. So the whole system is about 10000km across.
MatrixVirus 3 Sep, 2021 @ 7:13pm
What kind of distances are there between planets?
Defecticon 20 Aug, 2021 @ 6:05pm
I guess it's the same thing though
still that's fine, no problem dude

@Defecticon I assume you're talking about this mod? I haven't heard of that mod before, but from what I can see it adds new types of ores, which would require you to modify the planets in order to actually spawn. So as far as I know this isn't compatible with that mod.
