XCom Legends Exalt Ghost Templates

Description
A port of weapons used by Exalt characters in the XCom Legends Mobile Spinoff as Ghost Templates.

These can be used with XSkin to alter the appearance of your soldier's weapons.
The "owned" filter needs to be toggled off for them to be selectable.

Template names and archetype paths are in the mod's Readme file if you wish to utilize them in a fancier way.


Includes 2 Swords, 2 Pistols and 2 Sniper Rifles.

The sword's grip is shorter than unmodded ones, and may look a little silly with some attitudes when wielding a single primary sword.

Textures are a bit lower resolution than vanilla weapons. I may get them upscaled in the future.
I'm not entirely sure what sort of projectiles these fire in Legends, so I've just improvised for now.



Original assets by artists at Iridium Starfish. And Firaxis, pretty obvious those snipers are just reskinned darklances.

What cosmetic is used in the mod profile pic?

I mean that's how the guns looked in the game, while visually the weapon models are the Darklance they fire different projectiles and such in the game itself.

The snipers are both retextures of the Darklance model, aren't they?

This update ports the proper roughness and emissive (previously was faking it! required changing some textures, as legends uses a different material setup). I feel like the sword might be a bit too reflective this way though, and might revert the roughness on it later.

Fixed the snipers, looking into a way to fix it for the others. Likely messed up something in blender. Learning new skills! Messing up gloriously!

I get that issue frequently when viewing mods in a browser instead of the steam client. I assume due to something the slideshow depends on getting blocked by a plugin.

Am I the only one who isn't getting the pictures? I can't move the slider either. Anybody know what's up with that?

Some bugs: After their first use all 5 weapons orientate 90 degrees on their side to the left so both future use and sheathed effects clip.

I know I shouldn't be surprised from a gacha game but it's still incredibly lazy by Iridium Starfish to just reuse the Darklance for their rifles when the other 3 weapons all got something different from existing X-COM 2 content. Appreciate the import, Mitzruti.
