CVBB Bahamut v1.0

Description
Aviation Battleship Bahamut

350m, 36800 tons
40 guns, 21 missile batteries, 2x forward rocket launchers

Power, industry, storage and weapon systems all linked to a conveyor network for complete automation.

I built this ship to provide an all in one base of operations for combat, construction and mining. It has 2x reactors, an industrial deck of 2x refineries and 2x assemblers connected to a universal conveyor and storage network. The ship has 40 gatling gun turrets, 21 missile turrets and 2 forward facing rocket launchers, also connected to the conveyor network for automated ammo supply.

Interior areas are arranged on three decks and a topside bridge, an internal command and control room provides backup cockpit systems for battle situations where the bridge may be exposed. The open landing deck and internal hangar bay can house 8-10 standard small ships with space to spare.

All ship objects (Doors, lights, engines etc.) are labelled for easier control panel and inventory access. For shorter wording purposes, I labelled some stuff differently.

Other basic ships include an armed freighter, a ore harvester, a miner and a gunship parked in the hangar bay.

The Ore Harvester works independently to harvest mined ore directly via gravity and a collector system by means of an easy system with basic ships. The Mole miner is a very basic miner and does not have internal storage, instead it ejects ore directly that is then "pulled in" to the harvester for collection and delivery. The procedure works as follows:

-Park the Ore Harvester directly above the area you want to mine.
-Open the control panel and switch off the "Gravity Core", then switch on the "Harvesting Core" that will then result in reversed gravity.
-Get in the Mole miner and turn on it's Connectors' "Throw Out" and "Collect All" options.
-Just mine away at the area below the Ore Harvester, all ore will be directly collected by it for easy delivery.

The Ore Harvester can be used in a similar manner for salvage operations.

**Notes

The introduction of functioning turrets had a catastrophic effect on game performance, I deleted several interior turrets to get some framerate back. This was a preferred solution since the interior turrets used to number around 50+ and not connected to the conveyor network. The game may still run choppy on lower end machines at certain points.

I intended to add a broadside rocket launcher system but, this is rather pointless at present because you cannot select individual launchers nor turn them off to fire one side at a time. This will most likely change later on as the development of the game progresses. I also decided to leave the ship(s) without "moving parts" like rotors, artificial mass blocks etc. for stability reasons (less that can go wrong), this may also change later on.
