Now if they only added better turret control to act as bow-mounted crossbows you'd be in business.

It was a stroke of inspiration after I had built the big ships. Figured maybe that if two or more artificial masses aligned on a single plane in a ship and were locked between two gravity fields, the ship would behave like it were floating on water. And they do!

Awesome, never thought of making things float using the grav fields
