HSwMS Koster (M73)

This ship is based on HMS Koster, which is a Koster-class minesweeper in the Swedish Navy. The original ship was designed by SAAB and built in the late 1980s, but was modernized in 2017.

1. Press the "Bridge systems" button left of the drivers seat. This turns all the monitors on.

2. Press the "Engine On" button left of the pilot seat. Wait for the rps to stabilise.

3. You can adjust the throttle with the arrow buttons labeled "Throttle Up" and "Throttle Down". These are located left of the map.

4. If the engine would stall press the "Idle" button and the engine will restart. To avoid stalling the engine, do not throttle up to quickly.

5. Make sure you press "Idle" before changing to or from reverse



1. Input a waypoint by using the keyboard under the map monitor. You can add multiple waypoints by adding them with the keyboard in the order you want them. Pressing the "C" on the screen will reset all waypoints.

2. The autopilot on button is located right of the keyboard.

3. Adjust the throttle the same way as without autopilot engaged.



Launching:
Press "Release Connector" and then winch the boat all the way up. Then press the "Arm In/Out" button and wait for it to go all the way out before lowering the boat with the winch. Get in the boat and disconnect the winch ropes.

Driving:
Turn the "Engine On" keyswitch left of the steering wheel. then press "W" to accelerate and be careful not to scrape against the ships side as the boat could get stuck.

Docking:
Dock by connecting the ropes to the winches(Make sure both boats are facing the same way). Then winch the boat up all the way before turning off the "Arm In/Out" button. Turn off the "Release Connector" and lower the boat.


It should only be used in 0 wind, and not to far out on the open sea because the docking system doesn't work well with waves. This Submarine is only stable when moving so do not stop unless you are on the docking platform.

Launching:
Release the "Docking Connector" and press the button named "Docking platform". Lift up the crane and turn the crane 90 degrees to the left. Winch down until the Mini Sub is laying on the Docking platform, release the crane connectors.

Driving:
Get into the AUV operator seat located on the bridge. Throttle up to full throttle and wait for it to rev up and start moving. There is an option to drop a marker that lights up for marking things.

Docking:
You dock by going straight at the ships right side. Make sure the button called "Docking platform" is pressed, this is located att the crane controls. Aim between the two orange lights, or the crane and go along the surface. When you hit the side of the ship throttle down to 0. You should most often be able to reach the submarine connectors without connecting them manually.

When you are placing the submarine at its docking station make sure it is facing forward, you can do this by pressing the button named "Rotate Crane". You can also extend and retract the crane a few blocks to help with alignment

Reloading the marker:
If you want to be able to drop a new marker press the button named "Reload Marker" located in front of the submarine. This system does not work 100% of the time, incase it doesn't just unpress it and press it again. Dont forget to arm the marker by turning on the circuitbreaker on the marker.


I cannot guarantee that all systems work as they should with lower than full physics fidelity.
I would not recommend turning off the engine for a long period of time as the battery will drain. It is better to leave it on idle as it has 38 hours of fuel on idle.
