People say that barghests are specters which materialize as ghastly dogs and persecute the living. According to some folk tales these monsters are the scouts of the Wild Hunt. Other legends say the ghosts appear as a sign of divine retribution and embody revenge. However, all tales agree on one point: barghests show the living no mercy.

Description
XB-1 Barghest is a versitile drone, operated by AI of the Avaness Formation System. It will automatically follow your own fighter, maintaining a given position in the formation.
You can also remotely give it a command to launch a guided missile on a target locked by you. Survival Friendly

Performance
XB-1 performs well thanks to a very good thrust to weight ratio and 5-direction set of thrusters. Even with full payload it should keep up with the formation leader.
Thanks to its battery pack and power consumption it can stay in air up to 70 minutes.
All of that with a design which lowers the probability of detection - low profile, all thrusters incorporated into the fuselage and covered.

Armament
I decided to make the armament set a separate blueprint for simplicity and you can find it here

Barghest is able to use wide variety of armament which can be attached on provided pylons - guided and unguided missiles, free-fall bombs, turret and raycast-guided bombs, decoys, baits and gatling gun pods.




Operation modes
XB-1 can operate in 2 different guidance modes:
  • Loyal Wingman
  • Remote control

Loyal Wingman mode allows the drone to automatically follow your own fighter maintaining a given position in the formation. You can have multiple drones following you in this mode.
Remote control is possible thanks to provided connectivity - laser antenna and standard antenna for less stealthy approach.
Note: extend the radio antenna range if you want to operate the drone in this mode.

Wing commander module
If you want to use XB-1 as your Loyal Wingman drone, you need to install Wing Commander Module on your fighter.
Module allows your fighter to be recognized as a formation leader which drone will automatically follow.

Love it, as I play solo most of the time it does get lonely flying around but more importantly is it possible to tell the drone to automatically intercept any missiles that are fired at you or the drone? The drone also looks way cool, well done on that front. Well done again.

@RUSSIAN_DOGGO_999 Hey, it is likely that some mods may interfere with the scripts. However the issue you described may be caused by turning on the "commander module" while it is still attached to the drone.
The solution would be to cut it off of the drone and then placing it on the craft you want the drone to follow.

Hey so just wanted to let you know i have been supporting the channel for a while love the content but there is a problem when i spawn this creation in it thrusts up and to the right is this a bug or something in the script or maybe a mod i have installed?

Hi pro100tv i am answering late now thx for this way i found also one for this but this is better thx btw. i am having a tip for you the tanks of the msls are not fueld completly this would increase the reange ::) nice work btw on the drone i like it :)

Hi Enderman22224, I`m sorry for the late response. I din`t play SE for a while.
To switch between R1 and R3 you need to use command:
"remote fire --range 10 20" (for R1) and "remote fire --range 50 60" (for R3) from your fighters` LAMP programmable block while in formation
OR
"fire --range 10 20" and "remote fire --range 50 60" (for R3) from your drone LAMP PB (if you are controlling it manually).

By default your drone will shoot R1 missiles first and when it won`t be able to find any more of those attached it will launch R3`s.
