This mod adds "The Voidspawn" as a faction in game. The Voidspawn isnt intended to be played as much as it is instead meant to add variation into the world.

Lore:

The Voidspawn is often referred to as a corruption of sorts in space. The Voidspawn typically live in a space called "The Warp", a place in space and time between the entrance and exits of a wormhole. Most of the time the Voidspawn are unable to escape this realm unless they hitch a ride on the hull of a star ship, even so only small ones can do this. In recent times however it seems there has been a change in the Warp, there have been sectors of high energy from which the more intelligent Void creatures have taken notice of. These Void creatures have taken advantage of these high energy sectors to open rifts in the Warp in order to trespass into the realm we reside in. Here they consume all the matter they can to replicate themselves further and further, usually attacking anything that moves. These Voidspawn are also resilient creatures as well having needed to live in the Warp, a hostile environment to any organic matter, they are hard to kill and they are a serious threat with their powerful blasts of void plasma.

The Voidspawn is a faction that can appear anywhere in the world besides from Crystalline space, however they only control small amounts of space where they spawn. Voidspawn ships are commonly at 750 P or higher making them quite the challenge early on, along with this their ships are usually quite tanky and move at good speed and have powerful armaments. This faction is meant to be fought at later stages where you fight sentinels and Crystalline.
