Nimbus Class Destroyer

The Nimbus is a mid-sized destroyer with a nearly 4:3 combat power to cost ratio built to provide considerable firepower for a low price. The Nimbus is predominantly based on the original Asphodel.

The Nimbus is armed with 16 large missiles, three large torpedoes, five medium torpedoes, a bunch of medium missiles, a centrally mounted dual pizza oven system, and a small CIWS/AA railgun firing strong kinetic rounds.

While the Nimbus is strong offensively, it still has decent defenses. Thanks to generous usage of heavy armor, the nimbus can still take a hit. The CIWS and large multipurpose interceptor arrays coupled with sonar decoys can deal with a considerable amount of missiles, and the smoke system is solid against lasers. All of this coupled with the Nimbus's good speed and redundent systems make for a surprisingly strong defense.

As a built in weakness, I set the Nimbus to only use its railgun for AA, and removed the supercavitation shells from the original, I also tried to stick with a thin frame and removed some armoring from the engines. The Nimbus should also be unable to deal with some submarines and any craft with extremely good missile defenses.
