SkyDie - Prepare to Cry Edition

Description
I'd be glad if you could support my campaign on SPRKED! Click here[sprked.com]

I think we can all agree, that Skyrim sometimes is a little bit, erm, lacking, when we talk about challenge. This is why I decided to create this mod.

This mod's goal is to make the game harder. No, not "you die in one shot" harder, but just... OMFG YOU GOT THE POINT. GAME IS HARDER.

ALSO AVAILABLE HERE: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/53745/?

Now I hear you asking: "But Sag, how is this harder? You did not give us any information yet!".
Here are some of the things this game changes. I'm gonna say it right now: this mod does NOT change vanilla form. So it is probably compatible with 99.9% of mods on Nexus. So yes, it's compatible with your Skimpy Armors Overhaul mod. Probably.

But I'm losing my point again. Here's what this mod does:

  • Fast travel has been disabled. Woohoo, big surprise right here! Looks like you will HAVE to spend these Septims to travel back and forth!

  • Health regen has been disabled. No more ERMAGHERD AN ARROW TO THE FACE OH I'M FINE NOW situations. Now you MUST find healing potions. But the thing is...

  • All potions are now really weaker. When I say really, things are getting serious. They are like, 65% less efficient, you know. "But Sag, joke's on you, I'll buy more of them and simply spam them".

  • Nope Sir, shame is on YOU. Yes, you can still spam them, but all BUY prices have been raised. This include all items, even potions and poisons. Yup. Now cry.

  • Running depletes your stamina. Not only sprinting. RUNNING TOO. FINALLY. This also affects other NPC's.

  • The less stamina you have, the less damage you do. Self explaining, and goes well with the above feature: keep your breath for battles, for god's sake.

  • Talking about battles, this mod adds more unlevelled enemies. With your basic and boring level 5 bandit, will come their level 50 friends. You really should get protected now.

  • Heavy armours make you slower. ALL heavy armours, even from other mods. The higher your Heavy Armor skill is, the faster you will be, not never as much as someone who wears a light armor. This also affects other NPC's.

  • Heavy Armours are MUCH more efficient against all weapon types. Affects the player and NPC's.

  • Light Armours and clothing have a weakness to arrows, but make you faster. Basically, someone who wears an heavy armour will be a damage-absorbing tank, and someone who has a light armour will be faster and more agile. Affects the player and NPC's.

  • Spells scale with the player's current magicka... But will also unscale. This happens dynamically. For example, spamming the Flames spell will make it less and less efficient. With Magicka at 150, it does 17 fire damage, and at 15 it only does something like 3. This applies to all spells.

  • Vampires will get a constant burning damage while exposed to the sun. They can either find a darker place (hide in the shadow, for example) or enter a building. This burning damage is very, very slight but constant. Don't forget you don't have your mighty health regen. Affects the player and NPC's. Using a headgear will prevent this from happening.

  • THIS FEATURE REQUIRES SKSE. You can't spend your perk points if you did not sleep before. You still can choose your health, stamina or magicka buff. For example, you just levelled up. You open the menu, choose one of the three buffs, then you will have to sleep. A notification will appear to tell you you recovered your perk points. Sleeping in the middle of a dungeon won't work: you must sleep either in a player home (ANY), or rent a room in your local inn. This is kinda similar to how it worked in Oblivion.

  • Globally, you do more damage to people. They are easier to kill. Thing is, they can kill you more easily too.

All requests are welcome.
I hope you will enjoy this mod as much as I did. Credits to Punished Snake for some of these ideas.

Very good mod for people who like realism in combat. But at least the "global damage" setting in the MCM menu seems to reset every time you die, or exit the game.

Runs already painful.

The only problem i have is when i use heavy armor.I can barely move when i just regularly running. And so when i sprint i can basically only go about 100 feet before i have to walk.and in combat when you use a shield and hold it up the whole time and move it depletes all of your stamina i figured that its to make it harder but its very hard to fight in combat.I noticed when i started up my game after putting this mod on my list of mods as a battle mage i couldn't figure out why every little thing killed me. so much to the point i decided not to fight a boss it confused me with how potions act but healing spells are the same.so many things i think should be tweaked a little.like say for instance i had stone flesh activated but as soon as i got hit with a sword i died like i was running around naked.wards do the same.Healing spells do the same but as soon i got hit with any thing dead just like that.so if you want to rip your hair out download this mod its a great mod

I will restart the entire game, delete all my saves and start over, I was the listener, the Storm fist (or whatever its called) of the Stormcloaks, I was a Nightngale, I was everything. I'd even completed the entire story line fucking come on, I accept

I have some fun with this (like no fast travel and more realistic damage output) but some things are just tedious instead of hard in a challenging way. For example this mod gives some classes some clear advantages. Mages can heal as much as they want since their magicka regenerates while other classes have to collect basically useless potionts. I would suggest making potions the same strength as before but instead make them harder to find and keeping the price in the mod. Knights are also at a huge disadvatage since heavy armour makes travelling without horse (low level) incredibly tedious since it's basically slower walking. So I would change the heavy armour weight a bit so it makes more sense. In any other aspect this mod is great. Keep up the good work.

Grate mod but think the wepons would have been fine leaving them at there normal settings and making the Npcs more stronger instead

this is a great mod and my personal favorite combat mod but sadly i cant find a tweak for the POISON nerf which i think its unnecesary since this mod aims for more deadlier combat and immersiveness

do it on normal. on normal difficulty, combat becomes exceptionally harder, but it's still possible. on legendary, all combat is essencially a death sentance for the player, even if you have 500+ armor rating and it's just a couple of wolves.
