Description
Looking for a cheaper alternative than the venerable HILACAN class of transports, the IEC developed and produced the VTOL craft V-99 Falcon. With two over sized engines on tilting pods, the Falcon is capable of filling the HILCAN's in atmospheric role at a cheaper cost. Armed with 7 Gatling gun turrets and two fixed gatling guns mounted on the chin and 4 rocket launcher tubes on 2 pods, the Falcon is capable of supporting troops on the ground. Designed to carry large grid items such as the large ore detector, the Falcon has the capacity to perform multiple missions. With two connectors one dorsal with clear access for docking while flying and one ventral capable of docking while landed, the Falcon makes transporting ore and other small goods with ease.

Tips for construction:

The engine pods are already loaded in projector blocks on the craft. Turn them on on the ctrl+2 hot bar. Add a two half block slabs to build the blueprints as shown in the pictures above. Grind off the top slab and the engine pod will fall into place and automatically attach and upright. Ensure that no items, blocks, or people are in the way when attaching the engine pods to prevent bodily harm or explosions.

Tips for pilots:

Open Air Brakes when making approaches to land.
Adjust thrust override in controlled increments to maintain stable flight
Tilting main rotors will need adjustments to thrust override.
The angle of the rotors combined with the thrust level effects how fast you move forward
Control thrusters are for maneuvering while hovering and stability and will not save you if careless about use of rotors
Don't go to fixed wing mode (tilting rotors all the way forward) without full thrust or at lower thrusts above 50m/s
Disabling inertia dampers while in fixed wing mode allows for less work of main thrusters
