Planet Surface ( with ore )

This is a piece of planet or something like that, the idea is based on Sektan's work. This one is a kind of proof of concept, the main difference between this and other planetoids I have seen is that this one has raw materials in it..

To make one like this, you'll need:
- SEToolbox ( http://forums.keenswh.com/post/custom-importereditor-tool-setoolbox-6638984?&trail=15 )

- A modeling software capable of exporting .obj models, and capable of some form of precision positioning.


The idea is that you make the "planet", and the ore types each as separate models, cut them from the "planet" mesh and import them into the game as separate pieces with the correct ore type assigned.

To force the correct positioning in game, I used sort of anchor boxes, one on each corner outside the surface mesh, and used them again for each ore, this makes SEToolbox believe that the ore pieces are identical in size to the surface and their anchor point will be the same, so if I assign the same position they will be where they were in the modeling software inside the "planet" mesh.

A bit tiresome, but it works. It might be possible to use just one anchor point, depends on how the toolset anchors objects on creation.
