ITALIANO

ENGLISH

These two locomotives, very similar to each other, belong to the renovation projects of the 90s.
The E412 (Traxx EU43 for the company that built it, AdTranz - later Bombardier - today Alstom) was designed in the early 90s and built from 1993 onwards. It is a multi-voltage locomotive, capable of running under the Italian power supply system and under the Germanic one.
The 4 motors of 1500kw each are three-phase asynchronous, driven by inverters.
Current captation takes place through two Schunk pantographs, one for each power supply system. The maximum speed approved in Italy is 200km/h; in the Austrian network the maximum peak was reached at 220km / h.
28 locomotives were built in two different orders: the first one, of 20 units, by Trenitalia cargo, the second one, of 8 units, by PKP (the 3000V DC catenary is also used in Poland). Due to economic difficulties by the PKP and delays in the construction of the components of the locomotives by AdTranz, the order for the 8 vehicles was canceled.
The 8 EU43s were later sold to the rail traction company (RTC)
Similar story for the E405 (Traxx EU11): they are structurally identical to the EU43 but suitable to circulate exclusively under the catenary at 3000V DC. PKP ordered 42 units, to be used for internal Polish traffic. As above, the purchase contract was canceled and the locomotives remained unused (more than half of the entire lot had been already built at that time).
The entire fleet of locomotives was purchased lately by Trenitalia cargo.
The EU11 are locomotives capable of reaching 200km/h, exactly like the EU43; however, in Italy, they have been homologated for 160km/h.
Thanks to DomTrain for allowing me to operate on the E464 in order to build these machines. Another thanks goes to Denesberky who is the original creator of the E464 locomotive, starting from transport fever 1.

Do you need any mod to use this one? For me every time I add it to a consist it crashes my game and the problem is with the mesh-fs_e412_carrello_lod0.msh , this was when adding the Mercentalia ITA pantograph one.
