Xtended X-Rebirth (XXR) is primarily a community developed mod collection for X-Rebirth designed along similar lines to the XTended Mod for X3:R (XTM). The team developing it is not the same team as the XTM mod but the team is primarily derived from the membership list of the same home site for XTM - http://www.thexuniverse.com. Some third party mods not officially developed for XXR by the XXR Team may be included though.

At this point in time, the official XXR component mods are currently under development and will be released and added to this collection as time progresses. The components we have planned are as follows:-
● XXR Universe - Will introduce a new an unexplored area of space that will be connected to as a result of a mission developed for XXR (at least one new unique ship and one new unique station will be included in the first release)
● XXR Missions - Will introduce some new generic mission types developed primarily for XXR
● XXR Stations - Will introduce some new station designs developed primarily for XXR
● XXR Ships - Will introduce some new ship designs developed primarily for XXR
● XXR Weapons - Will introduce some new weapon designs developed primarily for XXR
● XXR Economy - Will introduce some modifications to allow the player to interact with the X-Rebirth/XXR Economies in different ways
● XXR Plot - Will introduce a new plot that will involve the player deciding the fate of the XXR Universe

The intention of this mod collection is to enhance rather than change the baseline X-Rebirth experience but due to the nature of some of the planned changes there may be some unintened effects on the Vanilla region of space.

As of 10-May-2014, this collection is considered under construction but please watch this space as development progresses.

We are also always looking for new team members regardless of their level of modding experience: testers, ideas people, modellers, 2D artists, musicians/composers, audio specialists, and last but not least scripters/programmers.
