[UEF] Light Corvette Mk2 [NO MODS]

The frequent raider attacks on UEF Shipping near Stations and Ports brought about the creation of a new and fast corvette. The "Phoenix" as she is referred to by her pilots, is a non-jump capable Fast Corvette that is light and capable of bearing down quickly on an enemy. Coming in at around 420 Tons, she is lighter than any other Corvette currently in use by the United Expeditionary Force.

She is one of the few ships that hasn't been designated a class name, and is just referred to as "Corvette, Light, Mark II". Due to this, and the fact she packs 19 Small Hydrogen Tanks on such a tiny frame, the Pilots began to call her the "Phoenix" because once her armor goes she goes up into a burst of bright flames. The reason for her large amount of hydrogen is that she is designed to operate in heavy gravity wells unlike the Kushan or Stingray's which were unable to chase down certain gunboats around the new planet of Pertam.

She is capable of reaching 100m/s in around 4.75 seconds in zero gravity and is extremely agile. She is capable of full flight on all planets which allows her to give chase to smaller vessels that the Kushan is not equipped to handle.

[Develop notes] : Heavily influenced by the old Reaver mod, I liked some of their ships but felt they were too large. I came up with a much smaller corvette design and streamlined it, it followed quite a few of the old Reaver corvette's shapes initially but soon changed quite a bit. A friend of mine calls her the "Bird of Pray" off Star Trek saying it looks a bit Klingon in a way so you could say it has a lot of different influences.
