When walls of flesh that surrounded him began to moulder and reek, and the once-comforting amniotic fluid ran cold, Mr. Fred found himself without a home. A weak and malformed child such as himself would never last long outside of the Womb, and as he crawled and clawed deeper into the darkness, he felt hostile eyes peering at him from all directions. Predators in search of an easy meal... Tortured souls, intending to wreak pain... Mindless beasts, with no thoughts of their own at all... It was cold, dark, and lonely in the basement. But he could hear his mother calling to him... Calling him to a warm and gentle place, where the very ground glows with comforting embers. The pressurized earth wrapped him in its pyroclastic embrace, molding him into something tougher, faster, stronger... something more. Mr. Fred was a child of the Earth now, and he was no longer afraid.
