Description
Introducing the SEPD - Warden

- Lore

With the opening of the Harbinger Shipyard orbiting Luna, the SEPD warline was now able to sustain construction of far larger and more capable combat vessels in response to the SPRT scourge. Among these, were the Wardens, a class like none other.

Succeeding where both the previous SEPD lines, and the Old Terran battleships of days long past fell short, the warden was far faster, sturdeer and had a far longer range than anything that came before. It was both the pride of one nation, and the dread of another.

Despite the creation of a mere 3 of these vessels to date, the Wardens are seen to be assigned on a variety of tasks, primarily Defence of the New Terran blockade and the Hunting of those who should dare stand in the path of the SEPD...

- Description

The Warden's combined arsenal consists of 8 Missile Turrets, 10 Gatling Turrets, 28 PDCs and 4 Interior Turrets. Also present are AI slaved Spotlights that can light up anything within CQB+ range.

Systems include 20 Small and 2 Large H2 Tanks, 12 O2H2 Generators, 4 Jump Drives, 1 Large Reactor, 69 Batteries (nice), 18 Gyroscopes, 2 Antennas, 1 Assembler, 1 Industrial Cockpit, 3 Programmable Blocks, 1 Medical Room and 4 Spotlights. (Also probably like a dozen other things I forgot but who's counting)

The Rooms consist of a Bridge, Hangar, CIC, Medibay, Server Room, Ready Room, Navigation Room, Armoury, Briefing Room, Cells, Reactor Rooms + Overview and Stern Airlock.

The Spotlight Turrets are an adaptation of the Turrets by Lt. Starbound

Authors Notes:

To date I consider this ship my finest work. I put a lot of effort into making sure the interior was not a maze... so if you don't like it, help yourself to the Custard creams in Lounge 3 down Hallway 7.

This vessel was originally going to be of a Destroyer classification, however as block counts rose and chonk increased I decided to up it to a Cruiser. Keeping destroyers in my lore to a more Sentinel-esc size range.

This ship went through a lot of phases before I was happy with it, extending it back was especially hard as I am far more used to creating smaller Corvettes and Frigates. I personally think it paid off but tell me what you think below.

I Hope that you all enjoy this Ship, lemme know what you think by Rating, Commenting or hitting the Big Star, thanks.

Thank you for informing me about this, I'll have a look at the issues. And just for reference, these were mainly designed for lore - if your looking for slightly more survival ready ships, maybe have a look at some of my newer ONRC stuff, like the Mainstay.

Thanks for going so in depth, I really appreciate it.

A lovely ship but why is the Hanger area in the front of the ship not connected with the rest of the conveyor system of the ship?

Sometime I get stuck on the stairs coming out off the bridge, not very often. Just requires turning on jetpack and flipping around a bit.

Also, the passages that lead around the reactor room are not air tight? I know a recent patch changed a lot of blocks. So I thought I would let you know.

Overall, I would say a very nice looking ship. Sadly, it's not a design I would use in survival MP with my friends, but I can tell you've put a decent chunk of time in making it. Very nice work.

Thanks for the Feedback, constructive criticism is always welcome. For me this is the first time I've built a ship so large and as a result i'm still getting the hang of it.

Personally I like to keep the amount of greeble quite high and thats just the style I go with, but obviously personal preference has a big part to play here.

I can see how it can be found too much and it may be confusing to look at so I will try keep it down a bit on future large designs, but I do have to keep consistency between it and the smaller designs that share the established design style.

Thanks for the comment, Omega

Constructive criticism (mostly stemming from my personal taste): That is too much greebling. It confuses the eye when looking at it. It doesn't look at all practical.

Dang this is a beast, I can't wait to see what the harbinger shipyard has in store. Also can't wait for the NMS frigate
