Role Reversal 5 - Birth Of The Talons

Mission Briefing:

Sorry for the sudden relocation to South Africa Commander, but we need you here immediately. Yes Nod forces are still taking a beating, and we are doing our best to get them out of Europe. This however, takes priority for now.

I'm sure that you are aware of the new GDI task force that has been formed and that has pushed into Africa after we lost Temple Prime. Known as Task Force Talon, or "Steel Talons" as they are more commonly referred by. Their reputation of mass armour crushing our bases when discovered is... accurate. In a recent attack they have stole the technology of one of our Obelisks. This is sacrilege!

We sent a spy in and found out they are working on building a new weapon, known as the XO Power-suite, using our Obelisk laser technology! Your mission is simple, Destroy the Obelisk, the Research Centre where they are keeping the data and the Weapons Factory where the XO Power-suite Prototype is stored. It recently had a test run and has had to be taken in for maintenance, so you wont have to worry about facing it. However, you will have to deal with a lot of Mammoth Tanks and defences, which the Steel Talons favour.

You will only have a limited time to complete the mission as their main force is out of the area on a exhibition. The base is defended, but the Steal Talons armour is not too far away. The moment GDI know your on site, they will return all their forces from the exhibition back to base to deal with you. Trust me, I've seen the reports, and you will be lucky to survive an attack like that.

We can send you a small squad in the South by a back entrance of our old base in the area and take it over. Once in, we'll send you a Stealth tank that should help with finding the location of the Targets. Remember, time is of the essence. Fast and aggressive Commander! Remind them they are not safe anywhere!

Hello Commanders! Finally got this mission out!
Of course this is Role Reversal, so this is the GDI Special Ops mission 3 from PSX (Playstaion 1) But you are Nod! It is set just after my last Nod Mission, and the area has changed slightly since you were last here as GDI. In honour of the 22nd Anniversary of Tiberian Sun, this mission is based on how GDI never got the XO Power-suite running, and they eventually use the bases of the project to make the unit we know, the Wolverines in Tiberian Sun. Of course Nod were behind it all along! but can you stop them?

A pretty hard start to this mission where you will have to micro and deal with having no Con-Yard but once you get set up, it becomes a bit of back and forth combat. Make sure you know when you should be attacking and when you should be defending! And just like the mission briefing says, make good use out of that stealth tank! it might not be able to do much damage, but knowing where to strike and when is half the battle on this one! But remember! don't leave it too long! GDI's Steel Talons are on there way back! Good luck Commanders!
