As the fighting calmed down following TFK's capitulation it became advantageous to have long range warships to patrol the larger territory LKF now occupied. The Defiance is the perfect ship for such a role. Able to produce components and fuel for itself, carry auxilary vessels, house up to 6 crew, land on plantery bodies and defend itself it soon earned a great reputation among the fleet.

Defiance class Frigates have only seen light combat, mainly against REC scouting forces. With the current state of the war, it seems both sides are licking their wounds.

Description

The Defiance class Frigate is an excellent all round ship. It has production capabilities for components and fuel, as well as plenty of storage space for smaller craft. It has two jump drives, heavy armaments and comfortable crew quarters.

It also has landing gear, and the ability to fly in up to 1.00 G environments (unladen) though I would recommend adding a couple more thrusters if you plan to journey down to Terra/Triton often.
