Description
Update - Update: if you're still using this mod, I'd recommend switching over to this one - https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2614772213 - as the author has done a more complete job than I have managed here.

----

This mod recreates the classic gold and blue menu scheme from the original Age of Mythology (not The Titans), now made compatible with Extended Edition. It also restores the original in-game menu screens (but not the UI - see below for this).

This uses menu graphics ripped from the original game, with one or two custom-made original graphics where none existed in the original (such as the new Options, Workshop, Cinematics and History icon buttons). It reskins the entire menu system, but keeps the Extended Edition's layout and new features.

This mod even recreates the original loading screens, with Zeus and Odin just chillin'.

(Note: The 'Ensemble UI' mod created by Skybox uses the menu style from The Titans expansion, not the original blue and gold graphics. This mod recreates the look of the original, which is entirely different from The Titans expansion)

The mod is compatible with all mods that change the actual in-play UI.

Looking for a mod that restores the classic AoM in-game UI? Try my AoM Classic UI Skin mod

The original main menu columns and menu border columns are not included here - I'll be publishing a seperate mode for those at some point.

If you find any mistakes, please do let me know in the comments section below.

Known issues

When loading the History screen from the main menu, the game sometimes uses a random civ style for this section, rather than the default Greek. This is a glitch with the game, and is not related to this mod. This does not affect the history style used when actually in-game.

This is cool.:OkaySir:
Will you be also editing the main menu and the campaign menu? Would be nice to have the whole game converted.

Does this mod need to be updated? It's got no effect for me.

Biara -

I'm working on it!

Hades -

I haven't found the boot times to be increased while using this mod, and the actual files being loaded aren't huge. That message, I believe, is there primarily to cover the eventuality of someone creating a mod that loads huge files, and then users complaining that the game boots slowly.

Basically, you shouldn't encounter boot time issues as a result of using this mod.

When the game starts up for the first time after the installation of this mod, a message says loading/booting times may suffer, do its better to unsubscribe the mod. Why is that? Is the delayed time significant enough to not use the mod?

The original main menu columns and menu border columns would be perfect!

So this is possible can be done: http://media.moddb.com/images/mods/1/13/12865/alpha_stage_MM_UI.png ?

I'm asking for Roman project of mine, just the Romans or The Roman Empire would also work as a sign, that is, if you're interested, full credits will be included to you of course. Cheers.
