Description
Compatible with base AND TotD

The mod brings back menu background variations from the original titles, as it also fixes some flaws in and activates hidden backgrounds from AoM:EE.

INSTALLATION:

Copy "user.cfg" from "...\Steam\steamapps\common\Age of Mythology\mods\Menu Backgrounds\startup" to "...\Age of Mythology\startup".

How do you mean "isolate"?

It only works for half of the backgrounds listed in the user.cfg file. When I isolate some, such as ~aom_pgs_greece it fails to do anything, and I just get the default Chinese background

It works now. Strange how it didn't work the first time. Maybe I did it wrong, but anyway, thanks for the help!

I appear to only get the greek background and not the others. Does anyone else get this?

Flat textured ground and nothing else.

You need to open these maps in the game's Map Editor. Olympus, Swamp and Thundra were never finished. You can open them, too, but you'll need to copy them in "/scenario" folder first.

i just see tons of cryptic letters when i open the .scx files with editor

and i see its probably not the erebus one, theres an underground file already

and all in all there is a disparity i dont understand:

your user.cfg seems to miss backgrounds maybe?. When i look to original scenario folder, i see olympus, swamp and tundra.scx (i guess 1 of them is addon, I dont have addon), those are missing in your file. And why your mod page here shows only 8 pictures? :p
