Norfolk Southern GP38-2 (High Hood) Pair - 5137 and 5253

Description
(Requires Jeri_'s Geep Expansion Pack Pt. 1).

NS 5137 - not to be confused with KiwiRail’s DXB 5137 - was built by EMD in 1973, originally for the Southern Railway. 5253 was built six years later in 1979, also for the SR. The two engines were inherited by NS upon the SR merging with Norfolk & Western in 1982, and repainted in NS thoroughbred black.

Later in life, 5137 received the Horsehead logo, but 5253 never did. If my research is correct, 5137 was sold to LTEX (Larry’s Truck and Electric) in 2017, while 5253 has remained in service with Norfolk Southern as recently as 2020.
