CSX GP40-2 Pair - 6219 and 6957 (YN2)

Description
(Requires Jeri_'s Geep Expansion Pack).

(I got the idea to make these two after finishing the upgrade of my CSX 4444 re-skin, which is available in my Four 4s Pack).

This download includes two GP40-2 locomotives in CSX’s YN2 livery; 6219 and 6957. For whatever reason, I thought it was a good idea to give each engine a name; 6219 ‘Goodbye To You’ and 6957 ‘The Warrior’. Those are two songs from Scandal and Patty Smyth, and they were released in 1982 and 1984 respectively.

CSX 6219 - not to be confused with New Zealand Rail’s DF 6219 (now rebuilt as DFB 7049) - was built by EMD in 1978, originally for the Western Maryland as their number 4320. By 1980 she had been repainted in Chessie System colours, albeit with WM letters on the cab-sides. In 1986, the Chessie was rebranded as CSX, with the overhauled company keeping WM 4320 on their roster, albeit under the new identity of CSX 6219.

It wasn’t until some time in the 1990s when 6219 was repainted in YN2 colours. She remained in this livery until 2007, when she was repainted in the YN3 livery (later updated to YN3b). If my research is correct, CSX 6219 is still in service today.

As for 6957, she was built in 1979, originally for ConRail as their number 3369. When CSX bought out 42% of ConRail assets in 1999, they also inherited the former CR 3369, which was initially renumbered to 4440. Around 2008, the engine was renumbered to CSX 6957.

If my research is correct, 6957 is still in service today, and is one of the few GP40-2s still painted in the YN2 livery.

(Please DO NOT submit anymore re-skin requests until further notice. I've got a huge list of requests to get through, and I would feel very overloaded if any more got added to the list).
