Pawnchie

Pawnchie, The Leader and Combat Specialist of the agency known as The Strange 7, has now joined the battle in Aether! Use his quick movements, fast attacks, and special tactical techniques to rundown and knock out your opponents! Just be careful not to get too reckless, and your mission will be a success!

Pawnchie is all about fast movements and combos! He has strategies for many occasions in battle, from his low friction normals to unique movement techniques, his specials that can be used for offense and defense. But with his light weight and exploitable recovery, it helps to have an idea to know where and when to use each trick up Pawnchie's nonexistent sleeves.

Here's a quick rundown of his specials:

Neutral Special - Tactical Dash! / Tactical Bash!
Tap the button, and Pawnchie will quickly dash backward with a few invincibility frames, allowing him to avoid a quick attack. Hold the button, and Pawnchie will wind up a powerful punch! It may be a bit slow, but its strength can make it a great punishing move to finish out stocks!

Side Special - Spiny Boy Kick!
Pawnchie's newest combat technique, he spins around with his feet, propelling himself forwards and upwards. You can control his direction, and you can hold the button to increase the move's duration. While a somewhat simple move at first, its movement makes it an integral move in his kit!!

Up Special - Super Jump Punch!
Pawnchie lunges upwards with a powerful uppercut! While not the best recovery move around, it makes up for being a powerful attack, especially if you land the sweet spot at the start of the jump!

Down Special - Flash Grenade!
Pawnchie often has trouble getting in on his opponents. But luckily, he brought some special weapons to the fight: Flash Grenades! Toss one out, and when they denominate, they'll leave the opponent wide open for an attack they didn't see coming! You can even knock the grenade around yourself, allowing for many different angles of attack! Just be sure to not get caught in the explosion yourself!

To learn more about Pawnchie's specials, just head into practice mode! Pawnchie has the Munophone (albeit, the previous model), so you'll be able to get the details of Pawnchie's moves, along with some tips and tricks!

By the way, his name is pronounced Pawn-chEE.
