Description
Built for Reforged Eden 1.8!

Type: Ultra-Heavy Transport/Siege Gunship (SV)
Tier 4, 205.841 CPU (10 Aux cores + 8 Quantum Extenders required!)
Size Class: 8 (8,07)
Unlock Level: 20
Lift capacity: 4.49kt @0,96g

Built for Reforged Weapon Limits, CPU and unobstructed thrusters

The Grond is a ultra-heavy transport/siege gunship to run and support assaults on heavily fortified ground installations. It is capable of operating in high g environments up to 5g. Transport capabilities will obviously be reduced in such environments.

For landing and transport operations its turrets provide good coverage against hostile drones and ground forces.
HVs that are designed for transport should have a Docking Pad at the very top to dock.
I added some screenshots of a docked tank, in case you are wondering.

As far as fighting is concerned, the bow is heavily armored. Overall armor is solid, but you definately want your opponent in front of you.
Mobility is rather low, it can achieve max speed even when carrying tanks, but dont expect to be able to do spinning moves.

The Grond is sized to fit inside the hangar of my Kronos CV, a 13x7 sized Hangar Door is highly recommended.

Note this SV is extremely expensive in terms of CPU and is absolutely intended for endgame situations where you just don't really care about resource costs anymore.

"Great engines crawled across the field; and in the midst was a huge ram, great as a forest-tree a hundred feet in length, swinging on mighty chains. Long had it been forging in the dark smithies of Mordor, and its hideous head, founded of black steel, was shaped in the likeness of a ravening wolf; on it spells of ruin lay. Grond they named it, in memory of the Hammer of the Underworld of old. Great beasts drew it, orcs surrounded it, and behind walked mountain-trolls to wield it."
—The Return of the King

LCDs are modifications from sulusdacors LCD Library, so a big thanks to him for his amazing work!
(Anyone got a LCD for a wolf head? I need it because ... reasons)

Update 17.06.2022: Updated for 1.7, see changelog for details. Screenshots are not updated.

Well, not sure whether it is even possible. We have much less CPU comparatively in RE2 for SVs then we had in RE1. If you want to try it, you need to find a space for the fusion generator and maybe some additional room for CPU upgrades. And you probably won't have CPU left after thrusters for anything but the most basic turrets for drone defense.

This is by far my most favorite ship every made, how would I go about remaking it for RE2? Would it need a full rework or just a few replacements?

Yes. For SVs and HVs I have already a couple for this style. For CVs I recently added a starter CV, more will follow.

I really like this style and color. Any chance of building a whole collection?

@Jack Daniel069: There are already two builds that form a bit of a set here, those are also used on the screenshots: The Maverick and the Demolisher from my workshop.

You named this one after the battering ram in the shape of a wolf from Return of the King? Classy ^^
