Amtrak CF7 Trio

(Requires Space's CF7 model).

(Full credit to Dr.MYater for making the original Amtrak CF7 pack. I was not aware of this pack’s existence when I had the idea to make my own AMTK CF7s).

In 1984, Amtrak took delivery of 25 ex-Santa Fe CF7 locomotives for switcher service, in exchange for eighteen SDP40Fs. The three engines featured in this pack are numbers 585, 586 and 587, which ~ for reference ~ were each built in the following years:

585 ~ built in 1949 (rebuilt from EMD F7A No. 215C)
586 ~ built in 1951 (rebuilt from EMD F7A No. 246L)
587 ~ built in 1956 (rebuilt from EMD F9A No. 288C)

Each of these re-skins carries a fictional name; they are each named after a song from the 1970s:

585 | Norman Greenbaum ~ ‘Spirit in the Sky’
586 | Starbuck ~ ‘Moonlight Feels Right’
587 | Heart ~ ‘Straight On’

Incidentally the numbers carried by these locomotives used to be occupied by the SDP40Fs. After being repainted in Amtrak colours, the CF7s were used on non-revenue and switching service in Illinois, New York state and Washington D.C. (amongst other places). They were retired in 2003, and have since been scrapped.

I am not taking re-skin requests until further notice. However, I have already thought about making the CSX F40PHs (they've been on my list for ages).
