Hisashi Hayashi's Trains

Description
Trains is a deck building, area-control game by Hisashi Hayashi for two to four players. This version includes nine maps, two of which are designed for two-player games. All card artwork is custom, but retains the flavor of the original.

INTRODUCTION
Can you build the greatest rail line in Japan (or the US, Germany, China, or Middle Earth)? Now is your chance to find out! Trains is a deck-building game where you work to build the strongest system of rails. Your cards not only allow you to buy other cards to tune your deck, but they will also allow you to build train stations and rail lines along the board, which are your key to victory!

GOAL
The goal of the game is to have the most powerful railway network! You accomplish this by collecting Victory Points from cards, railways, and stations. To gain Victory Points, you build a deck using cards from the various options that will be available to you. You will build the deck as you play the game, with each player starting with the same small set of cards. Use these cards to build railways, and ensure your deck runs as effectively as possible turn to turn.Trains is a deck-building, area control game that borrows mechanics from Dominion. Players are tasked to create the most efficient railways using their personal decks of cards, which are created through the purchase of cards from a common supply.

Instructions for play can be found on Alderac Entertainment Group's website.

Setup:

There are 4 bags of rail tokens and pre-dealt hands. Delete what isn't needed.

There is another bag filled with station tokens.

Delete 2 Lay Rails and 1 Station Expansion from supply for each player.

Cards with map images and URLs are provided (URLs also located below).

Shuffle and choose 8 cards from the 30 card deck, duplicate 9 more of each (for a total of 10 each). Delete the rest.

Notes:

Trains has been tested, and known to run, on the Steam version of Tabletop Simulator Early Access v1.6.

All card art is custom, and all photos are Creative Commons.

The maps are a mixture of the AEG originals, Essen promos, and fan-made.

Trains is designed by Hisashi Hayashi and published and (c) by Alderac Entertainment Group (AEG). Please support the designer and publisher by purchasing a copy online or at your neighborhood FLGS.

Two things fail to load. I believe the card backs and maybe board preview cards. So if I'm right, it's still playable, but the blank card (sides) still worry people.

Alternatively I could just upload the tileset and tell people to get your mod, if you prefer that.

Hey, quickfics - I made a tileset using this mod, so you can make the map yourself Catan-Style. ( Screenshot [i.imgur.com]). Do you mind if I upload this to workshop - it is essentially your mod, with a lot of work put into cutting things up. If you're not cool with that, I'll just use it privately. Lemme know what you think?

Just as a question, how would you feel if I was to "update" this mod? make it a little easier for players to just get in and play with very little set up. Please let me know, because I don't want you to feel like I've just copied all your hard work. I would give you complete credit.

I feel. Not smart. But could someone educate me on how to change the board background?

Try brontopixel for hosting, works well.

Okay, should be working now. I eventually just had to roll it back to an earlier release. Bad news: Map cards are sideways when zoomed, again. Good news: The cards aren't downloading at 32MB anymore.

I've found the problem, and it is very strange. The main deck, which was uploaded on the initial release, is 4.79MB. The file that is now downloaded is exactly 32MB. It doesn't matter how I rename it, and upload it, it always downloads and saves at 32MB. I may have to change hosts. Apologies for the inconvenience, and thanks for the heads-up.
