The IMC COLLECTOR
Hazardous Cargo Transport

The IMC Collector is a heavily upgraded light transport cruiser designed to ferry hazardous cargo through the secured trade routes of Europa. The smaller transport engine has been replaced with an "oversized" engine that is typically found in large cruisers. This grants the Collector a significant boost in mobility for time sensitive cargo runs but comes at the cost of a high drain on the power system resulting in increased repairs, fuel consumption and possible overloads if managed improperly. A dedicated engineer operating the reactor during critical times coupled with an experienced captain will coax a best in class performance and rapid maneuverability out of these power hog systems.

Class: Cruiser
Type: Multi-purpose Vessel
Size: Medium ( 43 X 12 )
Crew: 3-8
Experience: Beginner
Cost: 7,630 (Price working in-game)

Armaments:
1 Unmodified Dorsal Chaingun
1 Unmodified Ventral Nose Pulse Laser
1 Modified Ventral Tail Pulse Laser
1 Single-Load Depth Charge Launch Tube w/ 8 Slot Storage
3 Self Powered Delayed Fire Discharge Coils (Discharge Wave) for Dorsal Defense
2 Lower Discharge Coils
Rail-gun Ammo Storage

Features:

Conventional Power Distribution - (Starts with Battery Power On)
The Collector is powered primarily by nuclear reactor with a battery reserve power.

High-Speed Performance -
A larger class engine coupled with a single oversized ballast implements a high speed system able to compensate for rapid adjustments. However this comes with a huge drain on the reactor which if set to auto will not adjust fast enough to meet rapid increases in power demands. (This is intentional.) These increased power demands also cause a moderate increase in engine and electrical maintenance.

Self-Powered Discharge Wave -
Three Discharge Coils located on the dorsal nose of the vessel release delayed blasts in a wave when fired. This wave protects the command, medical and gunnery decks with extended shock times. These coils are self powered by their own salt-water generator tanks and draw no energy from the ships weapon systems.

Hazardous Cargo Hold with Spacer Bilge -
A mid-ship bilge has been added to separate the cargo area from the rest of the vessel. This separation helps protect the vessel from the effects of dangerous cargo and artifacts. The cargo hold contains no repairable or vulnerable systems that can be affected by electroshock or EMP devices.

High Visibility Command Room -
The command room contains two windows for both forward and dorsal views.

Deployables:

IMC Collector Lander Shuttle

The IMC Collector Shuttle is a full service salvage shuttle designed specifically to compliment the Collector vessel. Equipped with full service salvage shuttle features and a dedicated pulse laser. A full height rear exit allows fast access for repairs. This shuttle is designed to be landed before using the salvage doors.

(If using salvage doors without landing first, please be sure to open, exit and close the salvage airlock doors fast or your shuttle will sink quickly.)

Customers are advised to practice using the shuttle salvage access before actual deployment.

Mechanical: Thank you for commenting/ I was not aware of any issues with the Bot Pathing or Drone (unless its damaged). I will look into it. The welding fuel, suits and tanks are personal preference but I understand your disliking of them.

This is not a bot friendly sub. Welding fuel stowed nearby the reactor and inside oxygen tank shelfs. Abyss suits, and tons of oxygenite tanks. Forward drone is likely to drop like a rock when it undocks. Stay away from this sub.

The Collector has been updated. I added a manual toggle button for the forward airlock doors on the navigation console with a status light. A fire detection and suppression system has been added to the cargo bay. The reactor has been placed on an auto-managed circuit that is tuned to conserve fuel while outputting maximum power on demand. The shuttle has been updated with a different circuit that should prevent docking power glitching.

That sounds good for the reset button because ahving an airlock bricked for the remininder of a campaign is kinda meh, also the fact the sub looses a lot of buyancy. Thank you!

Lance: That one is somewhat intentional. I wanted people to slow down and pay attention to things that should be a big deal in a hostile environment - like using an airlock. I could add an airlock reset though .. will put in command room. I am also adding a fire suppression system to the cargo bay.

Also there is a similar situation in the front airlock if you use the outside lever, go in and use the airlock lever before the timer run out sometime it locks the airlock the wrong way around making the front airlock basicly unusable unless somone goes thru the shuttle and redo the same thing as in quickly use levers to trick it.

One of my crew manage to fix it by adding a button connected to something wich flips them around.

Lance: Ohh wow , I will fix this tonight! Thank you for telling me!
Lance Patchwork 22 Oct, 2021 @ 6:30am
then if somone else goes to undock the shuttle or micro-drone powers down locking out control and preventing redocking.
Lance Patchwork 22 Oct, 2021 @ 6:29am
Is there a way to force the auto-on/off to cycle? Happens often when crew member undock with either the shuttle or the microdrone they dock back too quickly and bug out the power cycle on either of them.
