Description
First, let's begin by asking ourselves if you want a shotgun similar in function to this pistol. Keep this question mind.

The Beretta M9 is a pretty commonplace service handgun, supporting a nice caliber and good ergonomics. This particular Beretta M9 is a quasi-modular, all-purpose handgun touting full metal jacket (FMJ), hollow point (HP) and armor piercing (AP) rounds, as well as a melee mode. Pop open your Pie Menu with it equipped to see the options.

Breaking it down, FMJ rounds are normal ball ammunition, decent damage. HP rounds deal great damage against unarmored enemies, but are wholly ineffective against most armored ones. AP rounds are for the armored enemies, and deal less damage to unarmored enemies. When you wanna get down and beat someone senseless (or to death), you can whip the gun around and start pistol whippin' like your tiny digital life depended on it.

Another feature is the 'One in the Pipe' mechanic where you can load one extra round in the chamber. Azukki is a pretty cool dude. Just reload if you have fifteen (15) or less rounds to load one extra.

Lastly, and most importantly, is that this is a powerful weapon, being so utilitarian. Therefore, to balance it out, you need to worry about recoil. Fire fast enough and the gun'll knock you on your toches or jump out of your hands. Don't fire if you're flying or falling and try to crouch before engaging targets. Physically heavier actors, like the Browncoat or Ronin Heavy, can absorb recoil much more effectively than lighter actors, so keep that in mind.

Now, would you like a shotgun with -eight- fire modes? Head over here to check it out.

If you're interested in blowing things into smithereens, and then blowing those smithereens into smithereens, check out my new Pie Menu Stuff mod. Incredibly unsafe to all but the assbadliest of men.

Alternatively, check out my other mod that doesn't have recoil. LASER Commander's the name, commanding lasers is my game.

Credits are found in the third link, though they are not conclusive. Credits are pretty hard when you don't keep track of them.

Looking through the game files got me to this... "Description = The Beretta M9 is the pinnacle of pathetic, wimpy, little 9mm handguns. Fuck bitches, get .45's"

Great mod! Solid functionality and it does what it's supposed to, doesn't look bad either :D.

I love this kind of realistic weapon mods.

It doesn't make sense, though. Gameplay-wise, they're capable of wielding massive ordnance that should, fluff-wise, compress and destroy fleshy actors' spines and overwhelm the servos and gyroscopes of robots. I put the recoil on my 'Pie Menu Stuff' series so they're more balanced with vanilla weapons, which are cheaper to equip on AI actors. They're still overpowered in the hands of heavy actors that you directly command, but saying the cloning process isn't perfect doesn't explain away the miniguns and M60s.

Heres the thing. It makes sense for it to have alot of recoil, as the actors are infact part of a cloning process that isn't in any way perfect (Which I assume is why they walk so weirdly) and so they wouldn't be able to hold the gun down or infact stay on their feet very well.

It's hard to balance when the script is linear in terms of actor mass. I do not have the knowledge or willpower to edit the script beyond changing variables, so the recoil is now 65% of what it was before.

I have fired a 9mm beretta with standard 9mm luger rounds. While it did have noticable recoil it wasn't enough to move my person in anyway at all just a little raise upward. I was able to fire pretty quickly and have a nice grouping in the target.

Wow, really? A gun that actually can knock you over? Amazing! Will try it out soon. Probably.

I doubt it would too. Lowered the recoil. Not entirely sure why I didn't lower it before.

Not bad, though I doubt a 9x19mm Parabellum round could produce the recoil this mod is trying to depict.
