Description
Long before Retired I and Retired II happened, this is where the friendship between Armstrong and Givens was founded...

The extremists are taking over Stratis island. After years of protection by the west we are retreating. Everything is going fast and the enemy is closing in to the last airport. We need to get everyone into the planes and leave. We do not want to leave anyone behind and fall into the hands of the enemies.

You need to get off of that island but where is your friend and comrade Colonel Givens?

The distroy helicopter attack task is buggy and it dont trigged and i was waste my time !!!

experienced the same as @honger below, heli was in space and needs to be taken out early while the player can see it, otherwise love the Retired mission series

I noticed that the enemy Kajman, if not destroyed early enough, will keep going up and up. When I have given my drone a waypoint to loiter over the island I received radio message about the Kajman starting from Camp Rogain. I tried to take it down with a single AG rocket from the drone but missed, so I ignored it and kept doing other stuff. After 30 minutes into the mission I noticed that I can't hear that heli anymore despite my drone detecting it and showing its pos on the map, eventually I found out it's 3km above me, had to kill it through debug console because it was too high to get an angle on it with a launcher.

Otherwise pretty good scenario, I wonder if there was anyone else other than Givens to be rescued.

Use this allowFleeing 0; command on the Heli's crew to prevent it from fleeing. Note, that this command works only on groups.

@SlovakianLynx @Liberty_Valance I think I found a fix and I testplayed the mission. The helicopter stayed in the area

@SlovakianLynx I checked the mission and it seems to be an issue with the ARMA AI system. The Heli has nothing special, just waypoints and it sometimes decides to fly away. I will check if I can fix it by changing the "rank" of the pilots. They have an influence on the "flee" decision.

I have a similar problem. I take out the AA systems, take and re-code the radio, but the enemy heli is nowhere to be seen. I dont even hear it and it looks like the author doesnt care about his missions anymore. Pity, becouse they are good.

A real problem : after a while, the ennemy helo can be heard but becomes invisible ... cannot be shot
