SITREP: The Co-La market is the largest trading center in the Khe Sanh area, and is controlled by the Viet Cong. It forces its merchants to pay a commission on their sales and its visitors for the entrance.

It is located too deep in enemy territory to attack by land, and has anti-ship and anti-air defenses, so attacks by ship or by air are also ruled out. In addition, there is a large number of civilians on the market.
Because of all this, our mission today will not be the capture of the post, but only the elimination of key personnel for the Viet Cong.
