Parasite ALIVE? - The reboot - Custom Subraces

Description
Ok so, for anyone who was waiting on my old mod to be updated this is it. In light of the mess I left it in, ALIVE? will be put together with a series of individual asset mods. This mod adds the new and improved Parasite Human Subrace to the playable options for new characters.

It also adds parasite victims (The custom model from ALIVE?) to the swamp, they just nasty looking blood spiders roaming solo to represent 'failed' hybrids.

-It is fully limb chop ready, those legs can be servered and replaced. In fact it uses the default human skeleton so should have zero issues with custom animations mods with a simple patch.

-It uses all the vanila human customization options - you can be a pretty hybrid if you want instead of the bloody mess in the old mod.

-This mod is fully stand alone.

-I will probably add Hybrids that can be recuited either by rescue or capture. - Done, you can now recruit them if they are imprisoned. They spawn in small groups in the swamp.

-Any aditional features updates or customization options for the subrace will be added here.

Update -19/10

- added hybrid 'eyes' as a customisation option for hybrids.

hope u make another type that looks like arachne. half human and half spider. like a centaur...

NGiL - Bit late to comment here, but have you tried putting them in separate squads? I've found that only 1 predator in a squad can use the eating animation at a time. If you want multiple ones to do it, you need to spread them across in different squads.

May not apply because the blood spider is absolutely doing what it should. I've not tried this yet to see if the hybrids have it in their A.I when they have no active jobs (Bodyguard, ect).

Hey, man! Great mod, I love it :merling: Well, unfortunately my Queen or squad parasites don't eat bodies and corpses at all. Only blood spiders. Any advice would be appreciated!

P.s.: spawned alied npc parasites (swamped creatures) are working good, they consume corpses.

@DOGE__LORD - they are a rare spawn, like 2% chance. Theres also a 1% chance youll encounter a Victim, If your not playing the queen start I would run from that.

He does actually have Blood spiders though there's only a handful and they're only with his "personal guard" in his Throne tower, i don't believe there's any blood spider nests or patrols that spawn in Arach itself though wierdly. Also yeah that idea sounds really fun.

Your welcome, I'm glad you can finally enjoy your hybrids :). Bugmaster tie in would be cool, I'm not sold on the idea of skin spiders being on side with blood spiders tho. Bugmaster seems to keep skin spiders from memory, maybe skin spider queen/hybrid textures? For blood spiders I was thinking more of setting a up an ally faction with a nest that worked like the bars do in the main cities, lots of hybrids and spiders to recruit on a cycle so they repopulate like the bars do with drifters. Get a working nest going in the swamp and then the conquest campaign of the local ruins then the town then shark. I could probably scale it to not take over shark unless enough smaller locations are occupied making it feel like you have to build momentum.
