Description
Metra Commuter

Metra is a commuter rail system in the Chicago metropolitan area serving the city of Chicago and surrounding suburbs. The system operates 242 stations on 11 rail lines.[1] It is the fourth busiest commuter rail system in the United States by ridership and the largest and busiest commuter rail system outside the New York City metropolitan area.

This train is modeled after the future concept of a battery powered EMD F40PH series of locomotives. The passenger consist is based off the many commuter trains Metra runs in Chicago today.

The train features a few different types of commuter cars. Right behind the locomotive is a converted pullman car used for commuters with Bicycles then the other cars are a mix of Budd and Amerirail Gallery cars and Gallery Cab Cars, finally the train is topped off with an Amerirail Cab car used for Push-Pull operations.

How to Use

Train functions as a regular passenger train but due to its length some additional consideration might be needed when setting up passenger stations for it. Consult the "How to use very long passenger trains, building station complex" by REV0
