Season 1; Episode 3: Unscheduled Stop

BRIEFING: At 1300 hours, a terrorist group known as the "Children of the True Faith" (COTF) has hijacked a freight train and made for the inner city. When the local PD got wind of this they coordinated with the people in the department of transportation. The plan was to divert the runaway train into an old abandoned station where the situation could be contained. That was the plan. But Murphy decided to take a giant ♥♥♥♥ on this plan, and the train filled with well armed terrorist ended up in an active railway station. Although the station is quite small and remote, a luxury passenger day train was stopped in station to be refilled and restocked. Meaning lots of civilians got in the cross-hairs of the cultists. The police tried their best at evacuating the civilians and pacifying the hostiles, but when they saw the lunatics wheel out IEDs out of the train, they fell back. And to make matters worse, the local news channel was filming a midday show on station and captured the whole ordeal live. Needless to say the public is in a state of panic and the department of internal affairs and defence are in pandemonium.

I know you haven't had much time to prep for a mission this big, but it falls on us to put order to this chaos. Your mission is to pacify all hostile, rescue any remaining civilians that may have hidden away, and to disarm all the IEDs.

INTEL: The police reported that there were around 50 hostiles out of which 20 were confirmed KIA. They also noticed a number of explosive devices being carted out of the train. Aerial surveillance confirms 4 IEDs planted near the fuel tank on the middle of the track. But there could be additional bombs around the area.

There are three main points of contention. First is the station itself. The ticket booth is to the north, while the food court lies to the south. Clearing the station will keep your flank clear when you make your way out.

Which brings us to the platform. It is a long open corridor and sniper support should have a nice clean sight line to help you out. But the station makes the northern half of the platform a big dead space. There is a small eatery in the northern half of the platform and a souvenir shop to the south. Both structures can prove to be barricaded space.

Lastly, there is the tracks. Aside from the crashed freight train, there is are two additional trains. One is a passenger train on the platform which will prove to be the most deadly. Lots of windows and cramped compartments will make it a problem. Then there is another freight train which was in process of being loaded in the far western end of the tracks. The runaway train crashed and spilled its containers across the tracks.

There is a open fuel tank in the middle of the tracks where the terrorist planted 4 IEDs. Watch your fire. any stray bullet can cause it to explode and take the station along with it.

Assets: 8 men ground team and sniper support from the south.

INFIL: Central corridor in the station.

SUGGESTED LOADOUT: Carbines with hybrid 1/4X sights to help tackle the varying ranges. Flash bangs to clear out problem areas and smokes to provide cover. Explosives should be avoided to prevent accidentally harming the civilians or setting of a hidden explosive.
