"After the failed invasions of Khaborovsk, and Blagoveshchensk, the Chinese now have to defend northern China from the ever increasing numbers of the Russian forces in the north. This insignificant, yet interesting port of Mishan would've given the Chinese another shot at invasion, but by the time the Russians captured and secured much of the Chinese territory up north, they had no choice but to hold out at Mishan Port until North Korea could help out in their campaign against the Russians. The Russians had went around Lake Khanka to surprise the Chinese forces holding out in the area by surprise, and thus a small engagement ensued."
