Description
This mod gives you the option to disable the automatic cutting of trees.

In the game pawns automatically cut trees
  • in growing zones
  • under building structure blueprints
  • when roofing a area

Especially with the ideology precepts of 'Tree Cutting' and 'Tree' this is very annoying, because pawns get a mood debuff from it.




In this mod, you have six settings to disable the automatic cutting of trees:
  1. Colonist
    When one of your colonists gets a mood debuff from cutting trees
    -> Nobody will automatically cut trees.
  2. Slaves
    When one of your Slaves of the colony gets a mood debuff from cutting trees
    -> Nobody will automatically cut trees.
  3. Guest
    When one of your guest (temporary pawns from quests) gets a mood debuff from cutting trees
    -> Nobody will automatically cut trees.
  4. Prisoner
    When one of your prisoner of the colony gets a mood debuff from cutting trees
    -> Nobody will automatically cut trees.
  5. ManualList
    All pawns with a mood debuff from cutting trees,
    get a extra Gizmo toggle button to add this pawn to a manual list.
    Gizmo only shows, when it has an effect.
    (When you have also the setting 'Colonist' active, the Gizmo won't show on colonists)
    When an alive pawn with mood debuff stands on this list.
    -> Nobody will automatically cut trees.
  6. General
    When this setting is activated, all automatic cutting of trees is disabled
    (when someone wants more micromanagement)

Quick setting
The mod has also a quick setting function to quickly toggle the above settings.
In the bottom right corner of your screen you have a widget button, which opens a floating menu.
This button can be disabled in the mod settings.

Auto extract trees
Auto extract trees, when they block jobs like building or sowing.
Feature have to activated in mod settings. default is false.

@Ghostwish mh could be a problem with mod, but "once and a while" issues are difficult to debug. When you have a save file, where the problem is occurring shortly after the save, you can send it to me and i look into it.

So I'm having an odd issue, and I'm not even sure if it's this mod, but maybe someone can point me in the right direction: every so once and a while, and I haven't been able to find a pattern, but a random smattering of trees inside of my base will be designated for extraction. They're not in sowing zones, they're not in any zone but the home zone, they're just next to the pathways my pawns use so they'll be happy seeing the trees. I catch them on the occasion, cancel the order, and then if I wait, another random smattering will be marked for extraction. Like, I have the managing mod, but there is NO lumber operations going on.

I get a small issue with the auto extract trees, the extract order is given even on trees already marked for cut. The trees become marked to extract and to cut, and extract is prioritized, so my order is ignored ^^'

I encounter it during sowing, not tried if happens also for construction.

@WDLKD you can now activate in the mod settings, that trees get automatically extracted when they obstruct tasks like building or sowing

I would like a change from auto CUT to auto extract or uproot. If a pawn is automatically assigned to cut down a plant, it should be dug up and taken to storage.

First of all thanks for the great mod, this does what I need after losing a section of Guaranlen grove to an errant grow zone.

Would you consider releasing a version specific for Anima/Guaranlen trees? A simple 'disable auto-cut' for the two trees I mean.
