Description
Designed and built by Spiff's Practical Engineered Solutions for the Weyland-Yutani Corporation, Octa-Sprite Miner & Tunneler is the third variant in a series of survival game mining ships for space. Octa-Sprite's 8 drills are optimally designed with a 7x7 grid spacing to maximize ore uptake to make ore runs significantly faster than its predecessors. But more than just a fast and efficient miner, Octa-Sprite's uses the design technology of the Skipjack Tunnel Master for tunnel clearing a 7-block wide by 4-block high finished tunnel. An integrated projector makes drydock repairs easy. Designed for evading hostile NPCs, acceleration is reasonably quick, even when fully loaded.

ENTIRELY VANILLA; NO MODS; NO DLC; PROJECTOR BUILDABLE IN SURVIVAL!

NOTES FOR BUILDING WITH A PROJECTOR IN SURVIVAL
See the last picture for the projector's configuration.
1. Build a small-grid projector on a rotor frame configured with a small-grid rotor head that's located on a powered grid (you may need to put four or five armor block spacers between the small rotor head and projector to provide vertical clearance).
2. Load the blueprint into the projector (SE will whine that multiple grids are not supported; ignore the complaint); click on the setting to retain the blueprint after construction is complete.
3. Build the blueprint.
4. When completed, grind away the armor block below the projector, leaving the projector in place so future repairs can be easily made.

NOTES FOR TUNNELING
See the pictures for a clearer understanding of the process.
1. Build a tunnel scaffolding guide using large-grid armor blocks. As shown in the pictures, the actual guide blocks will be offset vertically the height of one block.
2. Align Octa-Sprite over the guide scaffolding, using 3rd-person view to ensure the wheel suspensions properly engage the scaffold blocks.
3. Using hotkey {6}, increase thruster override for the down thrusters until the ship fully engages the scaffold blocks and is completely stable (I just spin them to maximum).
4. Select the drills {1}, right-click to engage clearing (instead of drilling), and tap the forward key slowly to clear a neat tunnel along the scaffold block line.
5. When tunneling is completed, simply use hotkey {5} to decrease thruster override until completely disabled and control is returned to the ship.
6. Manual clearing of the corners will be required to get the full 7x4 finished opening.
7. Running parallel sets of guide scaffolds will allow you to make larger tunnels.
