Description
Welcome to The Red Phoenix: The Rise of Lacedaemon 3.0 PTR for M&T 3.0

Like a Phoenix they rise again in this alternate history mod based on the heritage of Lakonia
you may note that the Ideas are not as strong as you may think a nation like this should be the simple reason is that this is not a what-if Sparta survived but more of a reformation into a society that follows spartan teachings or ideas the people here are descendants of what was once Sparta they take up the ancient name to pay their respects to those who came before and who have laid the groundwork for their success. While a kingdom that has fallen can never come to be again what they leave behind can be built upon by those who succeed them, This mod is built on the idea of families wishing to bring forth their heritage of old to the region to follow in the tradition of the Spartans prior to the Byzantine civil war while the internal conflicts grew, propaganda and the aspirations of these families had spread throughout the region with watchful eyes predicting the rise of a new great power in Anatolia once again, the influence of these families grew to establish a foothold in the region, once the civil war had erupted within Greece these families rallied the people of Lakonia to conquer the Peloponnese to once again become a military power that would stand against the enemies of their people, their kin once again they are the Defenders of Greece be it victory or death!

New Feature No.1: Upon looking in your decisions you will see a "Lacedaemon Military Acadamy Administration" upon taking it you will have the option to fund the Military Acadamy from Low, Average & High Funding upon doing so you will get modifiers relative to the funding chosen these values have been better balanced vs the original ideas from the Open Alpha/PTR the mod started with!

There are Three levels of tiers that are linked with your government rank so as you grow more powerful you may spend more resources on the Academy for higher bonuses you will see Tier 2 decision become available when your Government Rank becomes a Kingdom/ & Tier 3 when you become an Empire.

No.2: Under decisions, there are reforms “Spartan Military Reforms:” “Spartan Philosophy Reforms:” so far upon taking them you will be greeted with a menu to choose to enact the reforms under this reform groups each will allow you to progress into a society which builds upon the ideals & teaching Sparta left behind.

As an added bonus like Idea Groups upon completing a Group, you will gain a modifier for fully enacting a group.

Update has gone live adding on to the features of V3 there is now a extra reform group I have updated the mod Description.

Work hard Spartans, fight for your nations growth and development fight for all of Greece! Fight for what you believe in fight for the path the Spartans left behind the path you walk is a hard one which will build strength courage & glory as you march to meet death you shall find glory in battle show no fear and never show you back to the enemy.

Live by Spartan law & die by Spartan law!

First new Features of V3 going live!

You may now take a new decision “Military Reforms” upon doing so you may enact reforms to undertake traditions & teachings of Sparta.

With this, I have decided to soon make slight nerfs to the nation next update I will remove the attrition modifier from the ideas and place it among a new reform soon to come as part of spartan philosophy among other growths which will allow the nation to grow stronger with commitment & hard work.

I'll be starting work on the next new features for V3!

Expect a system which will encourage funding the academy as well as being able to reform your military/combat training of the population within reason.

As well as general progression to a more Spartan like society.

With this new system you may find some small tweaks to bonuses to allow better synergies with the other systems withing the mod.

I'm planning to tweak down Infantry Combat ability to 7.5% & adding cavlery Combat ability 2.5%.

Expect the new system to allow you to raise this value back up through the new reforms as well as other reforms here and there allowing you to slowly progress into a society who follows Spartan traditions/law!

hey a new update went live cheek the change logs for details.

My updates will slow down now once again now that I have reached a much happier state with the mod with both balance & fun.

TO NOTE:
I am aware of
localization not working correctly with the academy... which has been a bit hard to manage for one whenever I edit localization it just won't take the new changes always...

I managed to apply the Victory or Death ideology!

with the new update the starting combat power of your military have been nerfed quite well while you still have a strong military backbone I feel now it is way more well balanced even when you seem to suffer heavly losses you may still in most cases win the battle applying that Victory or Death ideology you will march to meet your foe you will fight to win or die retreat? there is no retreat.

Good news! After testing the mod out in a few of my games I have decided to go through with some new balance I havent been happy with the state of the ideas so a patch as well as a new small mechanic which will tie in to said balance which will drop soon the ideas will be re-balanced and overall decreased and the small mechanic will further allow you to increase the power of your nation through this mechanic which I feel will be a more fair way to handle a nation which ties in to Spartan Philosophy/Traditions.

A nation which has been lost can never come to be again but what they leave behind can be used to better those who come after them.

Expect this patch to go live soon you will know when you see it in the change log!

I am considering changing this file to the "PTR" version of the mod testing new features while posting a side main version which will see less changes and updates now that I have a better grasp of what I want this mod to be!

I hope you all have enjoyed the mod so far and I hope with these changes you will enjoy the mod more and feel more rewarded for your campaigns.

I have just released this mod "Balkania" it's about uniting the Balkans, Rise of Lakonia was deigned to play nice with this mod if you form Balkania with this mod enabled the Lacedaemon flag will be part of the nation Flag at it's center.
