Sacrificial Corpses

Description
Have you found yourself losing interest in forming dark compacts with the infernal powers because without the corpse mounds to admire afterwards, all that ritual sacrifice just doesn't feel like it has enough of a human cost?

Have you always wanted to break into mass murder, but held off because burning the bodies would increase your carbon footprint?

Are you a cannibal struggling with food insecurity now that the pandemic has made it so much harder to find healthy victims and get them out of their homes where you can ambush them?

Well, have I got the solution for you! With the new Sacrificial Corpses mod for CoE5, you too can ritually sacrifice hundreds of human beings and keep the bodies afterwards! Save them as trophies of your inglorious works, compost them for the good of Mother Elysium, salt them to make delicious Man Jerky (TM), the hot new pandemic snack! Whatever you dream, Sacrificial Corpses can make that dream a reality! Call now--operators are standing by!

:)

It's always seemed odd to me that, in CoE, ritually sacrificing a human being doesn't produce a corpse. Yes, there could be an explanation as simple as "the method of sacrifice is incineration, duh!", but in the absence of any such in-game explanation, my expectation would be that killing a person would result in a dead body. I made this mod to meet that expectation.

The Sacrificial Corpses mod causes all base game rituals that cost sacrifices to generate as many human corpses as the number of sacrifices spent. For rituals that allow the player to set the sacrifice level, this means that using a higher or lower sacrifice level will result in a proportional increase or decrease in the number of corpses. This mod also gives each unit that can cast rituals using sacrifices the ability to sense the amount of dead in its location.

I would be surprised if this mod was good for game balance. Given the apparently widely held belief that Necromancer is already one of the strongest classes in CoE, giving Necromancers even more toys to play with seems unlikely to make for a more level playing field. That's fine with me; balance wasn't my goal here.

Please note: most sacrifice-using classes in the base game have little or no means to use corpses. To get the most out of this mod, try doing something like playing as a Necromancer against sacrifice-using classes, playing as a Demonologist and either summoning Orcus or using Succubi to charm a Necromancer, etc.

Because this mod does not add any content, updating it should not break saved games. However, use it only at your own risk. Frequent backup saves are always advised, even if you aren't using any mods.
