Description
This is a minor modification of Misses' campaign and Half-Life 2 port, "White Forest," updated for versus optimization and a few other cosmetic changes.

This is not intended for official release and is only hosting the file for the Rocinante Server, and will remain unlisted so as not to infringe on the original work.

NOTE: This campaign uses custom music, sound, materials, and models, some of which is contained in a separate pack due to workshop upload restrictions, which you can download here.

The maps and vscripts have been renamed so as not to conflict with the original version, which can be installed concurrently with this one.

For general play outside of the Rocinante server, please subscribe to the original here instead.

Campaign Description:
A train accident leaves the survivors in unfamiliar territory, where the Infected aren't the only zombies they have to worry about. The survivors trek through mine shafts, caves, an abandoned mill, and the wilderness to reach a communications outpost to use the radio for help.

This is a modified port of several levels from Half-Life 2 Episode 2 adapted for coop and versus gameplay.

Short Summary of Changes in this version
  • Updated the campaign to accommodate changes from The Last Stand update.
  • Added HL2's Headcrab Zombies and their "Fast Zombie" variants to zombie populations, as well as L4D1 common and uncommon infected variants introduced in the LS update.
  • Crowbar reskinned to Gordon Freeman's crowbar from HL2.
  • Added custom and community-made full-auto SCAR, burst QBZ, & melee weapons with custom scripts (wrench & sledgehammer)
  • Added Half-Life 2 themed SMG and Spas Shotgun.
  • Added custom Half-Life 2 themed safehouse/starting/tank music.
  • Added community-made tank and custom-made reskinned witch in "citizen" attire..
  • Boss spawns are now controlled by a custom vscript rather than by the Director, allowing for more consistency and control over where/when witches & tanks can spawn, while still being consistent between rounds of versus.
  • Scaled down horde spawn rates during map 3's gascan event in versus.
  • Added accessibility for infected to elevated locations throughout maps 1 and 3
  • Added an elevator to shortcut a portion of map 3's second half for more streamlined gameplay. Two witches spawn on the elevator that the survivors will have to eliminate in order to use the shortcut.
  • Clipped perimeter of the maps and other areas where it was easy for player-controlled special infected to get stuck.
  • Enabled the custom mushroom tank model in versus on map 2.
  • Clipped concave wall displacements of the cave so that survivor collision doesn't interpenetrate with the world geometry and get stuck as easily.
  • Added more props and hazards to open areas where spawning was difficult for player-controlled SI.
  • Added a number of wandering witches roaming the riverbed and wilderness on map 4 before the finale.
  • Finale now scores properly in versus, awarding score for making progress through the finale stages (rather than receiving half the points for making it to the finale and then the other half to the chopper).
  • Fixed broken infected ladders and added plenty of new ones using higher contrast texture more visible in daylight.
  • Adjusted item densities.

Hmm then thats weird. Only got this janky bug when play this map, should check again

FYI no changes were made to the gun stats (that is something that would be handled server side, not client side, so its not even something I could change). You might just be noticing in a difference in the appearance of the reload animation. It functions just the same. :steamthumbsup:

Remasted my ass, for some reason they change magum's reaload time and now its become beyond dogshit. Plz dont fucking touch anything but only skin. FUcking Cancerous:steamthumbsdown:

@Atsalenios Timoros Thanks for the heads up. A clip related to the elevator was interpenetrating with the hallway if the elevator isn't called. That's been fixed now.

Hello buddy, i would like to inform you of a serious bug that makes the map unplayable.
There is an invisible wall in the third section of the game (mill) that stops you from moving forward thus you cannot play the rest of the map.

The 3rd screenshot is the position of the invisible wall, i posted the other two images only to show you how to get there (im sure you know the map much better than me but i want to be precise anyway).

I hope you will fix it cause from the few minutes that i played i really liked the changes that you made to the original map and im excited to play it!
