Description
Faction Overview
The fey Eladrin are manifestations of freedom—passionate celestials with a penchant for curious exploration, spontaneous revelry, and heroic adventure. Born of the untamable wilds of Arborea, eladrin are intense and mercurial, but also fiercely loyal to those they hold dear. They tend to remain distant from mortal affairs, allowing them the ultimate freedom to choose their own destiny,
but they act quickly and directly against fiendish and otherworldly influences. Eladrin also have strong elemental ties to nature, and are natural allies of good-natured sylvan creatures such as elves and faeries.

Within their Twilight Court, the Queen of Stars takes counsel and companionship amongst the wisest and most powerful of their kind, but she does not dictate the actions of others. Many among the Courthold strange knightly and courtly titles that defy mortal classification and shift and change with time and on different occasions rather than following a strict hierarchy. This fluidity baffles the Archons of Celestia and infuriates the Baatezu of the Nine Hells, but entices those mortals who fight against tyranny and corruption.

Eladrin Features
  • The Freeborn allies of the Eladrin are lightly armed and less skilled than professional soldiers, but make up for it with their enthusiasm and numbers. Aside from their standard recruits, the Eladrin player can occasionally enlist Revolutionary League (read: Anarchist) agents, monks fo the Transcendent Order (Ciphers) and Darkwatch monster-hunters and assassins. Silverbranch elves and Sea-elves provide an advantage when fighting in forests and beneath the waves. The ram-like Bariaur lend their strength and skill against those who would imprison or enslave others.

  • Nightwitches and Evenstar Witches use herbs gathered from forests and swamps to summon guardians of the wild. Nightwitches conjure shadowy moonbeasts from the memories of the land. War-witches and Twilight Consuls gather gems used to summon Eladrin celestials.

  • Eladrin, in their physical forms, are individually powerful fey warriors with inherent spellcasting abilities, and they inspire those around them and under their command. They are typically armed with magical and demon-slaying weapons.

  • All eladrin are immune to Shock damage and resistant to Fire and Cold-based attacks; they are blessed with luck of the fae and dodge or avoid half the attacks made against them. Being immortal, they are immune to decay and magical "sleep" spells.

  • Should an eladrin be slain in its mortal form, it shifts into a wisp or ball of ethereal energy, able to blast their foes with beams of light or magic. An eladrin which survives in its energy-form will regain its mortal form in a month's time. Though this makes eladrin difficult to permantly destroy, they are usually few in number.

    Known Issues / Upcoming Features
    - Some sprites are unfinished or missing.

    - Stats and resource costs will need refinement (currently, it's a bit too easy to swarm the world with moonbeasts)

    - Sea-Elf Wave-Maiden will shift into the form of a Bariaur and drown the turn after she enters a water tile. (Will be fixed in the next version)

Thank you for visiting; feedback and comments are always welcome! And stay tuned for additional custom classes in the series. Next on the list - The Ravening Tanar'ri of the Abyss!

Should start with a Nightwitches, Evenstar Witches or Bariaur Wayfinders

Pretty good mod, this one could use a gem conversion ritual, very hard to get the ball rolling. Some of the mercenaries recruits are underwhelming. I would recommend switching out war witch to night witch at the start to let the player harvest herbs, waiting for the right recruitment offers slows gameplay down. Also feel like the lilend should have spirit sight and have rituals to cast, they're quite powerful, but still liable to die in ambush.

@Torvosaurus68: Thanks for your interest! I've been focusing mostly on Dominons 6 (for a number of reasons, that game tends to hold my attention more than CoE), but I do intend to return to my Planescape mods in a few month's time and provide some updates. :)

Checking in on this because there hasn't been an update to fix the sea elf wave maidens yet, and it's a pretty cool mod! (Though I have yet to actually manage to get anyone that generates herbs before being wiped out.)

Okay, I was confused by the herb requirement to recruit those, but that's why we start with trade.

Nightwitches, Evenstar Witches and Bariaur Wayfinders will gather herbs from forests, swamps and farms, but herb income won't appear unless you have one of these commanders in your employ.

How do you go about gathering herbs? I have a couple of casters that use them, but farms and ancient forests don't produce them.
