The Best Mod just got even Better! This is the continuation of the popular "Beautiful States" mod. It contains all old features plus lots of new additions. This mod mainly adds new states, releasable and formable nations, but at the same time enhances the gameplay through additional decisions. Just check it out and give it a try!

HOW TO DEAL WITH LAG:
If you experience lagging, these 3 steps will allow you to have a much better performance:
- use The Spot Optimization Mod, it is fully compatible with BSR;
- disable BSR custom events and decisions in game rules;
- open the cheat console and write debug_smooth.

If anyone's still got problems with mods not showing up in launchers:


—Open Documents\Paradox Interactive\Hearts of Iron IV\mod. Here, create a new folder, name it BSR_PublicBeta

—In a different window, open …\Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\394360\2640808954. Here, copy the contents, and paste them in Documents\Paradox Interactive\Hearts of Iron IV\mod\BSR_PublicBeta.

—Find …\Documents\Paradox Interactive\Hearts of Iron IV\mod\UGC_2640808954 .mod.
( If you can’t see ~.mod -extension at the end, click ‘View’ in the Windows Explorer ribbon, and enable ‘File name extensions’ and ‘Hidden items’. ) Rename this file to BSR_PublicBeta .mod.

—Open it, and replace path="…/steamapps/workshop/content/394360/2640808954" with path="mod/BSR_PublicBeta", and remove the line containing remote_file_id= 2640808954.
If you want to, you can also rename name="[mod name]" with something you can recognise more easily, such as name="BSR public beta (manual)". Save this file, and exit your text editor.

—Now, copy BSR_PublicBeta .mod, and paste it in Documents\Paradox Interactive\Hearts of Iron IV\mod\BSR_PublicBeta. Delete the file named descriptor.mod, and then rename BSR_PublicBeta.mod into descriptor .mod.
Also, rename BSRGithub .png into BSR_PublicBeta . png.

—Now, if you don't find the file named UGC_2640808954 .mod? That's a huge problem. Download BSR_PublicBeta.mod from the #beta-link channel in our discord (link at the top of description) and then copy-paste it in the …\Documents\Paradox Interactive\Hearts of Iron IV\mod\ -folder. Paste it again, this time in Documents\Paradox Interactive\Hearts of Iron IV\mod\BSR_PublicBeta. Delete the file named descriptor.mod, and rename BSR_PublicBeta .mod ( the file you just pasted ) into descriptor.mod.

—Open the launcher. The public beta should be there. If it isn't, I give up.
