USS Miniprise Frigate

Description
I grew up with the enterprise D. All the versions I saw out there were too laggy or large. It donned on me to make a maneuverable, manageable small block version with as much of the functionality of the big version as would allow.

Features

- High maneuverability on a large small block ship.
-I left lots of space in the main hull to add what you like.
- Detachable Captain's Yacht located on the bottom of the saucer.
- No gravity drive. This is more of an anti-feature. I want you to know I dragged a large ship grav gen and reactor into the hull and magnetized it. No matter how many small block artificial mass I added I could not get an impressive jump in speed. So just know this is not an option.
- Authentic torpedo (rocket) locations.
-A bridge, as authentic as small blocks allow
-Main engineering in the hull. You can move between the saucer bridge and the hull engineering by turning sideways and drifting down the neck,
-Working on saucer sep. Possibly unmanageable.

As I have experimented with magnetizing large ship blocks inside a small one, I realized I can rig either a grappling hook or a mega torpedo to grav-launch out of the deflector dish. This is not present, but feel free.

PVP Battle strategy.

The main issue is a lack of autofirinbg turrets as it is small blocks, and I could not position a reactor/gun turret magnetized inside without looking really dumb. So I am working on attachments that magnetize to the upper and lower saucer with self-p[owered gattling guns for those situations.

The initial ssumption is it is unwieldy and ineffective due to confroming to pop trope shape, however this has proven untrue. The torpedoes (rockets) being neck based leaves the giant saucer as cannon fodder. You can sop up the hits on the saucer as you lay waste with more hidden wep emplacements. Much like the novel Federation and various ramming speed maneuvers throughout the series, ramming the forward edge of your saucer into the anterior bridge will end most engagements fast. And you get the cool grinding off of armor plates effect as theycrush into each other. There is usually sufficient thrust to pull back and continue firing.

Your terminal on the bridge's saucer might be decimated but there are a pair of pilot terminals in engineering from which to recover. You will find yourself ramming while firing, then attempting to back up and dislodge your vessel.

(If iun engineering, pre battle you see there is no pilot terminal, add one.)

Ive left alot of open area for interpretation. I would not consider it battle ready as it has few weapons to correspond with the armament locations of the original Ent-D, but feel free to load it out as you see fit.

You will see a final image, it is after a brutal brawl with a Miranda, I won but ended up crashing through a stagin platform. Good times.

Thanks,
Zarovich

I like this. Just curious, why make Miniprise D with small ship blocks?
